Nature’s Glory organic brown rice is cultivated close to the mountains, using mineral rich water from the Swiss Alps. Strict inspection of farms and parts via Ecocert, regular analysis for pesticides at accredited laboratories and lot traceability all ensure a very high quality brown rice. Great care is taken to ensure the epidermal layer is protected during dehusking so that maximum nutrients are retained. Continuous consumption of refined rice and lack of grains may lead to vitamin B deficiency, resulting in poor metabolism, fatigue and nervous disorders. Compared to refined rice brown rice has almost 5 times the vitamin B1, 3 times the fiber and about 2 times the amount of vitamin B2, iron, phosphorus, calcium. It also contains anthocyanins which may help diabetes & pancreatic disorders, prevention of generation of free radicals,reduced pancreatic swelling, and decreased blood sugar concentrations in urine and blood serum,and linoleic acid which helps prevent hardening of arteries.
Preparation: wash rice 2-3 times. 1 cup brown rice to 1.5 cups water, add Kombu or sea salt. Reduce flame & pressure cook for 45mins.
