Kefir is a good source of friendly microbes made from ancient cultures, good for the gut and the immune system. Omega Nutrition Kefir cultured milk starter transforms milk into a delicious fermented drink in about 24 hours. It is not genetically modified and includes several strains of lactic acid bacteria and yeast.
How to make: Heat 1 quart or litre milk to boiling then cool to room temperature. Dissolve 1 starter packet in a small amount of the cooled milk. Pour this mixture back into remaining milk and mix well. Transfer to a clean glass container and cover. Let stand at room temperature until curds forms (Approx. 24 hours) then refrigerate. To thin, stir slowly before serving. Enjoy!
