Black Soybeans (Jap Grade)
Black soybeans have a neutral thermal nature and a sweet flavor. It strengthens spleen-pancreas and kidneys. In addition, it improves blood circulation and water metabolism, diuretic, removes toxin from the body, quells wind conditions. Used to treat rheumatism, kidney disease, and kidney-related conditions such as low backache, weak bones, and painful knees. Compared to black turtle beans, black soybeans have less fat and is used more commonly in medicinal soups.

Preparation: Soak beans for 10 hours, then bring to boil and drain off water. Cook for 4 to 5 hours over low heat till soft.
