Plum (Japanese Ume) is also known as the “Blue Diamond Fruit” and is indispensable in every Japanese household for its many therapeutic properties. They contain more citric acid, calcium, iron, and phosphorus and twice as much proteins as any other fruit.
Ume is also rich in other organic acids and minerals, which help to maintain good health. Plum is also known for its anti-viral and anti-bacterial effects. Japanese Ume is bigger, rounder, and richer in nutrients compared to the Chinese and Taiwanese varieties.
Nature’s Glory Umeboshi are pickled ume fruits. Ume is grown organically without pesticides or chemicals and harvested from June to July. They are then pickled with sea salt for one month, sun-dried for 3-4 days and nights during the hottest days in summer. The sun-dried Umeboshi are stored in kegs for about one year and then lastly, pickled again with shiso leaves. NO RUSH traditional pickling process with NO added processing aids, artificial chemicals, colorings or any other nasties (other brands may taste the same BUT will not be as effective as the real thing!).

How To Use:
Take one Umeboshi, break apart the flesh of the ume, and let it steep in the hot water for 10 to 15 min. Drink it while it is warm or leave it till it is cooled. Repeat the steps three times. You may eat the flesh of the Umeboshi after the third time. Generally, use one piece of Umeboshi per person per day. You may use one Umeboshi for your porridge or steam fish dish.
