Bonsoy (Soy Milk)
The name "Bonsoy" comes from French meaning "wonderful soybeans". Created by Japanese soy masters perfected over many centuries, Bonsoy is a truly healthy and nutritious drink. Only whole organically grown Non-Genetically Modified soybeans cultivated in fields on a rotational basis, are used. The beans are cooked in patented equipment, to ensure the strong “bean flavor” of soybeans is eliminated and the beans are evenly cooked. Tapioca syrup and Job's tears are added to bring out the natural roasted flavor.
Bonsoy has a natural, full-bodied mellow aroma with a subtle, mildly sweet flavor.
Our Bonsoy is made from certified organic soybeans that are free from harmful pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and genetic modifications, all these can be commonly found in non-organic soybean beverages.
Bonsoy is lactose-free; people who are allergic to milk can enjoy Bonsoy, a non-dairy product.
In 1999, the FDA in the USA claimed that soy protein decreased blood cholesterol and helped prevent heart disease.
Our bodies are made from an infinite number of cells. The cell membranes contain phospholipids when they are oxidized lipid peroxide is being produced. Lipid peroxide is a carcinogenic substance that accelerates the aging of cells. Aging of cells may contribute to arteriosclerosis. However, Saponin and vitamin E in soybeans help prevent oxidization. Thus Bonsoy may help to slow the aging process and thus may prevent arteriosclerosis.
Bonsoy is made mainly from organically grown soybeans, which contain only vegetable proteins. Thus, Bonsoy has no cholesterol content. The main substance of soy protein glycine helps to lower cholesterol levels. Peptides produced during the digestion of the soybeans, in the small intestine, also helps lower cholesterol level before the protein is absorbed.
Soybeans contain a relative amount of lecithin and colin which are called lin lipid. Lin lipid prevents hyperlipemia and controls an increase of lipid in the liver. Lin lipid also helps burn excess body fat. Thus, Bonsoy may help to prevent the production of fatty liver.
Soybeans contain isoflavones which function similarly to female hormones. Isoflavones help prevent breast cancer and prostate cancer. They also prevent loss of calcium; therefore, consuming Bonsoy may help to strengthen bones and moderate the symptoms of menopausal disorder caused by a decrease of female hormones.
According to the Japanese experts, homemade soymilk poses potential health hazards, as soybeans contain trypsin inhibitor, haemagglutinins, and goitrogen. These harmful factors can impede the functions of the digestive enzymes that aid in the digestion of proteins, they may lead to the swelling of the pancreas, coagulation of red blood cells and thrombus, and even goiter. Certain bacteria may not be killed at 100 degree Celsius. Our Bonsoy is being pasteurized at 130 degree Celsius, so the trypsin or protein inhibitor in the soybeans will be removed. The bacteria found in the skins of the soybeans are also removed.
Our Bonsoy contains Job’s Tears (Pearl Barley) which are rich in calcium, phosphorus and iron, also vitamins B1 and B2. They are high in anti-cancer substances, germanium and a tumour inhibitor coixol, which may help to clear stomach and intestinal polyps, and strengthen stomach, stimulate urination, aid in digestion, improve blood circulation, prevent myocardial, atherosclerosis, and high blood pressure. They are also good against cough, phlegm, indigestion, children’s sickness; promote appetite and growth in children.

How To Use
Shake well before opening.
As a drink, ideal on cereal, or in cooking as an alternative to dairy milk in soup, gratin, gluten burgers, pudding, etc.
Bonsoy is also a healthy alternative for coconut milk or milk and sugar in the cooking of local dishes like curry or laksa.
