Organic EDEN Matcha is the finest ceremonial grade powdered green tea. Beginning as medicine in ancient China it grew into a traditional ceremonial beverage, loved and revered by the Japanese.

The flavor of tea reflects the soil it is from, the season picked, and the curing process. This tea is tended and handled following strict organic practices. The growers are dedicated to organic farming and renewing the soil. This dedication is reflected in the use of skillfully executed traditional handling that preserves and enhances this tea's flavor and nutrients, resulting in exceptionally fine organic tea.

Harvesting & Process

Harvested in April from the bush Camellia sinensis when the leaves are most tender. Steaming the leaves prevents oxidation and ensures a bright green. The stems, twigs, and veins are removed from the leaves, then cutting, winnowing, and drying prepares them for one of the 1,300 small granite stone mills. For optimum flavor and efficacy it takes about one hour per mill set to make thirty grams of this organic matcha.

After grinding, the matcha is filled into 30 gram stainless steel cans. At the bottom of the can is an antioxidant protector, an oxygen absorber. It helps protect the antioxidants by absorbing oxygen. It also keeps the matcha bright green.

Ingredients:
100% organic matcha powder (USDA organic certified).

Preparation: Add a few drops of hot filtered water to 1 teaspoon of matcha and mix into a paste. Add more hot water (up to 180ml) and stir. Adjust the amount to taste.

Storage: Store in a cool dry place, away from light.
