SOMEN (THIN WHEAT NOODLE)
Product of Japan
Somen is a thin noodle made from whole wheat. It is good in a hot season as it is thin and light. A very popular noodle in Japan during summer. Enjoy it with cold broth or noodle salad. Since the somen noodle is thinner, it is aged longer and processed more slowly to avoid breakage. Without aging, the noodles loses its chewy texture.
Preparation: Add to boiling water. Simmer for about 5-7 minutes or until soft. Drain and rinse with cold water. Do not overcook.
Ingredients: Whole Wheat Flour and Sea Salt.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry place.
