Suribachi No.7 Japanese Grinding Bowl or Mortar
Made in Japan
Suribachi (literally translated to ‘grinding bowl’) is a traditional Japanese bowl that’s inlaid with rough-surfaced grooves called kushi no me, and used for grinding, crushing seeds, herbs and nuts, typically with a wooden pestle. The roughed out ridges can also be used for grating softer vegetables like potatoes or horseradish.
The 8-inch bowl is ideal for making pastes, sauces, and marinades in Asian cooking. To maintain, handwashing of the bowl is recommended.
Available: 1pc diameter 21cm/8inch
