Nori (Porphyra tenera) is laver (a type of seaweed), carefully cultivated in pollution-free waters of Japan. The nutritional value of nori is excellent. It is said that nori is a treasure house of E.P.A., vitamins A, B2, protein, taurine, minerals (calcium and iron) and chlorophyll. E.P.A. is an essential fatty acid said to be effective in preventing the hardening of arteries while taurine is an amino acid effective for reducing blood pressure.
Sushi Nori is a toasted nori. Harvested nori seaweeds are cut, spread on a mat to make a sheet and dried.
It is toasted just before packaging to keep the finest flavour of nori.
Ingredient: Nori (Porphyra Tenera) .
Preparation for sushi: Place a sheet of Sushi Nori on a bamboo mat, spread vinegared rice over the nori. Place some vegetable or condiment in the center and roll.
Storage: Keep in a dark, cool and dry place.
Available in 10, 50 sheets packing.
