WILD RICE BLEND (ORGANIC)
Continuous consumption of refined rice and lack of grains may lead to vitamin B deficiency, resulting in poor metabolism, fatigue and nervous disorders. Brown rice has almost 5 times the vitamin B1, 3 times the fibre (help bowel movement) and about 2 times the amount of vitamin B2, Iron, Phosphorus and Calcium. It also contains linoleic acid which helps prevent hardening of arteries, Nature’s Glory long-grain brown rice, organically grown without pesticides and using only natural fertilizers; now with nutrients enhanced by the addition of Red and Black Wild Rice, which are known to be higher in anthocyanin antioxidants.
Preparation: Wash rice 2-3 times. 1 cup rice to 1.5 cups water. Add kombu or sea salt. Reduce flame and pressure cook for 45 mins. For conventional cooking, bring to boil and simmer under low heat for 50 mins. Take heat off and sit covered for 10 mins. Soak overnight if using rice cooker: for quicker cooking and assimilation.
