Flaxseed oil comes from the seeds of the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum L.). Flaxseed oil contains both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are needed for health. It contains 50 - 60% omega-3 fatty acids in the form of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which the body converts into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Getting a good balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in the diet is important.
Flaxseeds are an excellent source of omega-3 essential fatty acids. They are a very good source of dietary fibre and manganese. They are also a good source of folate and vitamin B6 as well as the minerals magnesium, phosphorus, and copper. In addition, flax seeds are concentrated in lignan phytonutrients.

How to use: Enjoy the pleasant nutty taste. Try adding Flax Seed Oil to salad dressings or blender drinks. Use Flax Seed Oil in cold recipes, or add to food after cooking. Do not heat. Maximum temperature of 120°F/49°C in order to retain EFA nutritional content.
Dosage: One tablespoon daily provides the EFAs most people need.
