Lignans are the naturally occurring metabolism-balancing phytochemicals in flax. Flaxseed fibre contains up to 30% more lignans than whole flaxseed.

Nutri-Flax is a high-quality fibre supplement containing both soluble and insoluble fibre, and yielding an extraordinary 225 mg of lignans per level tablespoon.

Lignans are plant compounds that mimic the action of the natural hormone estrogen. For this reason, lignans are considered phytoestrogens. Extensive studies show that Flax Seed Lignans may reduce the incidence of hormone-related cancers such as breast, endometrial and prostate cancer, as well as anticancer, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties.
