Best Selling Organic Castile Soap

This article is updated on July 29, 2025.

Most of us buy commercial body washes and soaps without having second thoughts. But many of these products contain harmful chemicals and synthetic ingredients that can irritate our skin and harm the environment. Organic Castile soaps are a safer and more natural option.

If you are new to choosing the right soap, here’s what you need to know about Castile soaps

Overview

Why People Love Organic Castile Soap

Castile soap is a versatile soap made from vegetable oils like olive oil and coconut oil. They are safe for day-to-day use even on sensitive skin. No foaming agents. No preservatives. No synthetic fragrances. All because they are naturally derived, hence, biodegradable.

It originated in the Mediterranean region and got its name from the Castile region of Spain (a soapmaking centre for hundreds of years). Castile soaps are mostly available in liquid form but they can also be found in bars.

You can use your Castile soap for different purposes—as a face wash, as a shaving cream, as a household cleaner, and more! This is how versatile this cleansing product is.

It’s an excellent choice for those who want a natural, gentle, and effective soap.

Specific Uses for Castile Soap in Singapore

For Body Care

You can use it for your hands and body as a body wash, or use it to wash your face or remove makeup. Some individuals use Castile soap as a shaving cream and in cleaning dentures and retainers.

Lather up a bit of the soap and then apply it where you want to shave. Or apply a small amount to a soft toothbrush and brush your dentures. Castile soap is a suitable alternative if you have a skin sensitivity.

It’s also an alternative to shampoo, but you have to dilute it first. Take note that Castile soap may not be suitable for all hair types.

For Home Care

Did you know that you can also use Castile soap to wash dishes, sinks, and appliances? A small amount of Castile soap can also be used in the washing machine for laundry.

Dirty windows or mirrors? Use Castile soap to clean them. Need to mop your floors? It’s also effective in keeping them clean and shiny.

Having fruit flies in your kitchen? A small dish of apple cider vinegar and Castile soap does the job.

FAQs: Using Organic Liquid Castile Soap by Blessed Soaps®

If you are looking for an all-natural option that effectively cleanses, you can never go wrong with Castile soap. You will never have to worry again about harsh chemicals present in commercial soaps.

Yes, but please make sure to dilute it properly to avoid hair dryness or irritation. Its effect on the skin is different from its effect on the hair and scalp. If you use it undiluted, it can disrupt the natural pH balance of your scalp, leaving your hair feeling rough, dry or even sticky.

Castile soap is not an antibacterial agent. Meaning, it does not contain antimicrobial agents to kill bacteria.

However, it can remove bacteria and germs from the skin through a mechanical process. Castile soap acts as a surfactant. It lowers the surface tension between water and dirt/grease, allowing them to bind to the dirt and pathogens.

The soap molecules surround the bacteria and lift them away from the surface being cleaned. The rinsing process washes away the bacteria, hence removing them from your skin.

A variety of our series, which is Tea Tree Kindness, is effective against certain fungal infections like athlete’s foot and ringworm due to its natural antifungal properties. A Castile soap solution can also make an effective garden spray/all-purpose cleaner.

Liquid Castile soaps usually come in concentrated form. So, yes. They need to be diluted. If you plan to use it as a hand soap or dish soap, mix a quarter cup of soap with about 3-4 cups of water.

Among the six scents of “The Blessed Soaps,” the best choice still depends on your needs and skin type. Please refer to our table guide above.

For a gentle, universal choice, Baby Unscented is often the best pick.

Keep your Castile soap in a dry, cool place. Don’t put it under direct sunlight.

Choose liquid Castile soap if you want something versatile with a stronger scent. Pick bar soap if you prefer something more moisturising and better for the environment.

We use high-quality, food-grade oils like olive, coconut, shea butter, aloe, and sunflower. Most scents use 100% pure essential oils except Baby Love which has no added fragrance.

Yes! They are made without gluten, corn, soy or nuts, and are gentle enough for all skin types.

Yes. The Baby Love Unscented soap is safe for newborns, toddlers, people with allergies and even pets. It has no fragrances or essential oils so you can bathe your babies with this product.

Not ours. The Blessed Soaps are made to be more moisturising than regular Castile soaps. They clean gently without stripping natural oils or clogging pores.

If you have a very dry or sensitive skin, try a patch test first or go with the unscented Baby Love for the gentlest option.

  1. Yes, but moderation is key. Because Castile soap is highly concentrated and deep cleansing, it is effective for the face but should be used sparingly.
    1. How to use: We recommend diluting a few drops with water in your hands before applying it to your face, as it could, in theory, alter your skin’s pH levels if not diluted enough.
    2. Pro-tip: Since Castile soap is naturally alkaline, it pairs best with a pH-balancing toner or a good moisturiser immediately after washing to keep your skin soft and hydrated.

  1. Yes. Authentic Castile soap is made from plant-based oils like olive and coconut, which are naturally rich in antioxidants, Vitamins A and E, and healthy fatty acids. It doesn’t contain chemicals that can strip the skin of moisture, unlike other soap products. It tends to be pretty gentle on the skin.

  1. No. Castile soap is generally non-comedogenic (it won’t clog pores) because of the plant-based oils. It can break down dirt, grease, and pollutants without leaving behind waxy residues found in many cleansers.

  1. It is often recommended for sensitive skin conditions. Many commercial soaps contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), synthetic fragrances, and artificial dyes, all of which are known triggers for eczema flare-ups. Nature’s Glory Castile Soap is free from these harsh irritants. Its olive oil base provides a soothing and moisturising cleanse that’s gentle enough for easily irritated or sensitive skin.
  2. Quick note: As with any product for sensitive skin, we recommend doing a patch test first.

  1. Castile soap is known as the “Swiss Army Knife” of cleaning because of three main factors:
    1. Versatility: It is an all-in-one product. You can use it as a body wash, facial cleanser, shampoo, laundry detergent, fruit rinse, and even a household surface cleaner.
    2. Purity: It is biodegradable and non-toxic, meaning it’s safe for your family, pets, and the environment.
    3. Value: Because it is concentrated, a single bottle lasts longer compared to watered-down commercial soaps.
